Biologist and bioinformatician. I previously investigated bacterial leaf symbiosis, mainly in Dioscorea sansibarensis, but also in Rubiaceae and Primulaceae plants. I also investigated the genome of D. sansibarensis and its transcriptional response to changes in the symbiont. Currently I'm employed at UiB as part of the EBP-Nor (Earth Biogenome Project Norway) project with the aim to sequence and construct haplotype-resolved genomes of all eukaryotic species in Norway. Furthermore I'm also involved in the MarMa-Detox project, where I am doing a comparative analysis of chemical detox-related genes in marine mammals.
